Fixed Site Recovery Solution

The Fixed Site Solution mitigates against the risk of a disaster that may effect a client’s primary operating site. This type of disaster is likely to be of a non-technical origin and could be due to fire, flood, denial of access, major power loss, sabotage or theft. When invoked the client will dispatch its backup media to a Covenco Recovery Centre. Here our recovery specialists will conduct the restoration of the backup media on to IT equipment located at the centre and ensure that end users can access the restored systems remotely.

As standard you can expect the following from this solution;

• Appropriate equipment, assigned for your use at a designated Covenco Recovery Centre
• Equipment to be available to commence restoration of backup media within 4 hours.
• Full technical assistance by Covenco’s highly skilled recovery specialists
• 13 weeks invocation period (without any additional charge)
• Annual test/rehearsal of the solution

The key consideration for any client wishing to subscribe to this solution is communications connectivity. This can be fairly challenging depending on the type of network infrastructure. This solution is usually a very good fit with any client using a frame relay or MPLS type network as these services allow for the rapid switching of communications to a Recovery Centre.
